In-Depth Lore & Arc Mechanics

The narrative kicks off with a bitter reality check: in his past life, Liam was a deeply moral, responsible citizen who was rewarded for his kindness with crushing debt and a devastating betrayal by his wife. Reborn into a sprawling interstellar empire as a literal aristocrat of the ruling family, Liam makes a vow to cast aside his old ethics. He decides that the universe is split strictly between the stompers and the downtrodden, and this time, he is going to do the stomping. He sets out to become a ruthless, self-serving tyrant who takes whatever he wants.

Yet, the core brilliance of the story lies in its running gag and psychological disconnect. No matter how maliciously Liam tries to act—whether through ruthless taxation, tyrannical decrees, or aggressive military expansion—his actions continually backfire into acts of profound benevolence. His misguided attempts at selfishness inadvertently solve systemic corruption, boost the local economy, and protect the innocent. The worldbuilding introduces a vast, politically charged cosmic empire filled with rival noble houses, advanced mecha warfare, alien threats, and eccentric guides, all while Liam remains completely oblivious to his own rising status as a beloved saintly ruler.
